Additional Housing Information

• Apartments are not furnished, but include wall to wall carpeting


• Rent does not include utilities, except water. Heat, cooking, and light are all electric. HUD does give each tenant a utility allowance that is deducted from the rental amount.


• Air conditioners are not provided, but may be installed at renter's expense, or purchased from previous tenant, if available.


• Cable television is available from Adelphia Cable by arrangement of the tenant, and at his or her own expense. A master antenna within the building is free of charge. Russian Cable TV is also available at an additional charge.


• Laundry room with coin operated washer and dryers


• Parking is provided


• Scheduled social activities


• Outdoor covered terrace area with tables and chairs


• Chapel and religious services scheduled - open to all denominations


• 24-hour emergency maintenance

Each apartment is equipped with a security system to access the front door, a smoke detector, emergency medical pull cords in the bedroom and bathroom, a full kitchen with electric stove and refrigerator, wall-to-wall carpeting, and individual thermostats.

Common areas include the spacious lobby equipped with a large-screen TV and VCR, a computer center with DSL access to the internet, the community room, library, laundry, and classroom. There is also a beauty shop located within the building.
